Introduction

My Topic:
I chose to research the Death Penalty because its is a huge debate nowadays and I wanted to research both sides of the topic.

Who I contacted: I contacted the Governor of Connecticut because it is where I live and I am against the fact that we do not have the death penalty. When writing this letter, I thought to write to an organization that is for the death penalty to in hopes change their mind on the topic. I also thought to write to the Governor of Maryland where I go to school but changed my mind because they had just changed their policy on the Death Penalty about a year ago which would make it hard to change anyones opinion on it when it was just put in place. If you readers would like to get involved I would recommend writing to someone that has control over the situation and will be able to make a change.
